This was made into law and introduced in 2003 under the Block Exemption Regulation.

Rest assure that the parts we use on your vehicle are either OE (Original Equipment) or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). This means that the parts we use are of the highest standard, direct from our supplier or from the main dealer themselves. This will ensure that the components used will last and work to the best of their ability.

All our work undertaken comes with a 12 month workmanship warranty. Parts are warrantied for a minimum 12 months

What is Servicing?

Vehicle Servicing is carried out yearly or in some instances every 2 years both of which are also dependant on mileage. The process of servicing is different from each vehicle make, model and the mileage it has done. As a minimum the oil and oil filter change are replaced, depending on the mileage other items such as fuel filters, air filters, spark plugs and gearbox servicing is also required. On top of the servicing components that are replaced the vehicle will undergo an inspection. The type of inspection is also dictated by the age and mileage the vehicle has done. The inspection can be checking everything from brakes, tyres, lights, and suspension components, the list is exhaustive.

Do i need to service my vehicle?

In short the answer is yes. There are several factors as to why this is required.

• The vehicles engine oil is there to protect your internal engine components, this oil degrades over time reducing its ability to protect your engine, this is where fresh oil is an absolute must
• Filters and service components are there to do a job and thats to protect the vehicles components by filtering out contaminants, without regular replacement these can become blocked, preventing its purpose and can result in expensive component or engine failure.
• The safety aspect – The vehicle needs to be checked over to make sure that the vehicle is safe to drive, this is also to let you know that on inspection we can see if there are components that may need replacement before they fail and cause more damage. Many people feel the MOT is the safety inspection, whilst this is true, this is only the very basic form of an inspection. The vehicles legal requirements for brake pad thickness on an MOT is only an astonishing 1.5mm. Tyres minimal tread minimum legal depth is 1.6mm. Many do not realise that worn components work less effectively, affecting drivability and most importantly safety for the driver and pedeastrians.
• Depending on the vehicle, Horley motorists would need to service their car or van around 12 months or 12,000 miles, some later vehicles which contain longlife oil would be around 2 years or 20,000 miles.
